These codes don't stack with RUSHABH30, and they beat it: CKA is $267 here against $311 with my code. RUSHABH30 is the best price again once the two days are up.

Two days only: October 6 at 9:30 AM IST until 23:59 UTC on October 7, which is 5:29 AM IST on the 8th. New and individual purchases only. Does not apply to the Yocto LFD461-JP course or any FinOps course or certification.

A sale starts October 6, 9:30 AM IST (see above). This is the everyday code, works year-round:

Last verified: October 2026

The short version: put `RUSHABH30` in the coupon field at checkout on [training.linuxfoundation.org](https://rushabhshah.dev/go/catalog/) and the total drops by 30%. It works on the whole training catalog, every day of the year. The rest of this page is context: where the code comes from, what the popular certifications actually cost with it, and the advice I give people at meetups about which one is worth their money.

## Where this code comes from

I'm [Rushabh Shah](https://rushabhshah.dev/), a DevOps engineer in Ahmedabad, a Docker Captain, and a Grafana Champion. I met the Linux Foundation Education team in person at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon India, and that conversation eventually turned into an official affiliate partnership. `RUSHABH30` is the customized partner code they set up for my community.

A lot of what I do outside work is helping students and early-career engineers get into cloud-native: running the Grafana & Friends Ahmedabad meetup, workshops, that kind of thing. Certification pricing comes up constantly, because in India especially, a $445 exam is a serious decision. That's why I pushed for this partnership: the code is honored directly by the Linux Foundation (not a recycled coupon from an aggregator site that died two Black Fridays ago), and it has no expiry date. If you found this page in six months, it still works.

## Not sure which one you need?

Twenty-four exams is a lot to read through. Say what you are trying to do and I will narrow it to one or two.

Vocabulary first. KCNA is the cloud native entry point; LFCA if you are not yet comfortable in a shell.

[KCNA Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate $250 ~$175 with RUSHABH30](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/kcna/)[LFCA Linux Foundation Certified IT Associate $250 ~$175 with RUSHABH30](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/lfca/)

The CKA is the one hiring managers check, and it is performance-based, so passing it is evidence rather than recall.

[CKA Certified Kubernetes Administrator $445 ~$311 with RUSHABH30](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/cka/)

CKAD is scoped to the application layer. Narrower than the CKA rather than easier.

[CKAD Certified Kubernetes Application Developer $445 ~$311 with RUSHABH30](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/ckad/)

CKS carries the strongest signal and needs an active CKA to sit. KCSA is the multiple-choice stepping stone.

[CKS Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist $445 ~$311 with RUSHABH30](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/cks/)[KCSA Kubernetes and Cloud Native Security Associate $250 ~$175 with RUSHABH30](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/kcsa/)

PCA if you own alerting, OTCA if you own instrumentation. Both are multiple choice.

[PCA Prometheus Certified Associate $250 ~$175 with RUSHABH30](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/pca/)[OTCA OpenTelemetry Certified Associate $250 ~$175 with RUSHABH30](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/otca/)

CNPE is performance-based and senior. CNPA is the cheaper associate-level orientation.

[CNPE Certified Cloud Native Platform Engineer $445 ~$311 with RUSHABH30](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/cnpe/)[CNPA Certified Cloud Native Platform Engineering Associate $250 ~$175 with RUSHABH30](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/cnpa/)

CGOA is tool-agnostic principles. CAPA is the Argo suite, and note Workflows is its largest domain.

[CGOA Certified GitOps Associate $250 ~$175 with RUSHABH30](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/cgoa/)[CAPA Certified Argo Project Associate $250 ~$175 with RUSHABH30](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/capa/)

Pick the one you actually run. ICA is Istio and unusually is performance-based; CCA is Cilium and eBPF.

[ICA Istio Certified Associate $250 ~$175 with RUSHABH30](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/ica/)[CCA Cilium Certified Associate $250 ~$175 with RUSHABH30](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/cca/)

Performance-based, and the most transferable certification here because Linux does not churn.

[LFCS Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator $445 ~$311 with RUSHABH30](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/lfcs/)

MCPA is the first certification for the Model Context Protocol. PTCA leans to fundamentals and performance, which is closer to infrastructure than research.

[MCPA Model Context Protocol Associate $250 ~$175 with RUSHABH30](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/mcpa/)[PTCA PyTorch Certified Associate $250 ~$175 with RUSHABH30](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/ptca/)

The bundles cost meaningfully less than buying the exams one at a time. Be honest about why you want it.

[Kubestronaut Kubestronaut bundle (KCNA + KCSA + CKA + CKAD + CKS) $1645 ~$1151 with RUSHABH30](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/kubestronaut/)[Golden Kubestronaut Golden Kubestronaut bundle (16 CNCF certs) $4229 ~$2960 with RUSHABH30](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/golden-kubestronaut/)

**List prices when I last updated this page (October 2026), so check the [official catalog](https://rushabhshah.dev/go/catalog/) for current numbers.* One tip: the course + exam bundles are usually the best value, because they're already discounted before the coupon applies. On a CKA course + exam bundle the code saves you well over $200. It works on courses and bundles too, not just exams.

### Bundle savings, in dollars

Percentages hide how much money this actually is, so here is the bundle math:

| Bundle | List price* | With RUSHABH30 | You save |

## Looking for a discount on one specific exam?

Same answer for every one of them: `RUSHABH30` takes 30% off each certification below, including its course + exam bundle. Here is the per-exam breakdown people usually search for.

### CKA coupon code

The Certified Kubernetes Administrator exam lists at $445, so the code brings it to about $311. It also applies to the CKA course + exam bundle, which is the better buy if you want structured prep included. This is the certification I recommend most often to working DevOps and platform engineers. [Full CKA discount guide, prep tips & FAQ →](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/cka/)

### CKAD discount code

Same math as the CKA: $445 list, about $311 with `RUSHABH30`. If you build services that run on Kubernetes but don't administer clusters, CKAD is the right exam, and it's a shorter, faster-paced test than the CKA. [Full CKAD discount guide, prep tips & FAQ →](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/ckad/)

### CKS discount code

The Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist lists at $445 and drops to about $311 with the code. Remember you need a valid CKA before you can sit the CKS. If you already hold the CKA, this is one of the strongest security signals you can add to a DevOps CV right now. [Full CKS discount guide, prep tips & FAQ →](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/cks/)

### KCNA coupon code

The entry-level Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate is $250 list, about $175 with the code. Multiple choice, no live terminal, and the best starting point if you're a student or moving into cloud-native from another field. [Full KCNA discount guide, prep tips & FAQ →](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/kcna/)

### KCSA discount code

Also $250 down to about $175. KCSA pairs naturally with KCNA if you want to show security awareness early in your career without committing to the full CKA-then-CKS path yet. [Full KCSA discount guide, prep tips & FAQ →](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/kcsa/)

### LFCS coupon code

The Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator lists at $445, about $311 with the code. Honestly underrated: if your Kubernetes debugging sessions keep turning into Linux debugging sessions, do this one first. [Full LFCS discount guide, prep tips & FAQ →](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/lfcs/)

### PCA (Prometheus) discount code

The Prometheus Certified Associate is about $250 list, roughly $175 with `RUSHABH30`. Observability is my home turf as a Grafana Champion, and this is the exam I bring up most at Grafana & Friends meetups: short, focused, and it forces you to actually understand PromQL. [Full PCA discount guide, prep tips & FAQ →](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/pca/)

### OTCA (OpenTelemetry) discount code

The OpenTelemetry Certified Associate also lists around $250, about $175 with the code. If your team is standardizing on OTel (most are, eventually), this is a cheap way to get ahead of that migration with a credential to show for it. [Full OTCA discount guide, prep tips & FAQ →](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/otca/)

### ICA (Istio) discount code

Istio Certified Associate: around $250 list, about $175 after the code. Worth it if service mesh is genuinely part of your platform, and skippable if you're still at the "do we even need a mesh" stage. Be honest with yourself about which one you're in. [Get ICA for ~$175 →](https://rushabhshah.dev/go/ica/)

### CCA (Cilium) discount code

Cilium Certified Associate: around $250, about $175 with the code. Cilium and eBPF networking are eating the Kubernetes CNI world, and I say that as someone who translated eBPF.io into Hindi. A smart differentiator for network-minded platform engineers. [Get CCA for ~$175 →](https://rushabhshah.dev/go/cca/)

### CGOA (GitOps) discount code

Certified GitOps Associate: around $250 list, about $175 after the discount. Covers the concepts behind Argo CD and Flux. If you run GitOps in production already, the exam mostly confirms what you know, which makes it a quick win. [Get CGOA for ~$175 →](https://rushabhshah.dev/go/cgoa/)

### CAPA (Argo) discount code

Certified Argo Project Associate: around $250, about $175 with the code. I run Argo CD at work, and this pairs naturally with CGOA if you want your resume to say "GitOps" in two different ways that both survive a technical interview. [Get CAPA for ~$175 →](https://rushabhshah.dev/go/capa/)

### LFCA discount code

The Linux Foundation Certified IT Associate is the gentlest entry point of all of them, around $250 list and about $175 with the code. Aimed at people at the very start of an IT career; if you can already navigate a shell comfortably, skip ahead to LFCS. [Full LFCA discount guide, prep tips & FAQ →](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/lfca/)

### Kubestronaut bundle discount

Chasing Kubestronaut status (all five Kubernetes certs: KCNA, KCSA, CKA, CKAD, CKS)? The code applies to bundles too, and on a five-exam bundle it produces a much bigger saving than any single exam. Check the current bundle price in the catalog, then take 30% off that. [Full Kubestronaut bundle guide & savings math →](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/kubestronaut/)

### MCPA discount code

The Model Context Protocol Associate is the newest exam in the catalog, launched September 2026, and the first certification against MCP. $250 list, about $175 with the code. It is multiple choice and beginner level, so it is a knowledge exam rather than a skills one, but the weighting is more interesting than that suggests: interactions and execution is 26% and security and governance another 24%, so half the paper is about runtime behaviour and the trust model rather than definitions. [Full MCPA discount guide, domains & FAQ →](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/mcpa/)

### Already hold a cert? Use an upgrade bundle

The full bundles make you pay again for exams you have already passed, so the Linux Foundation sells upgrade bundles that leave out the one you hold. Hold the CKA? The [CKA to Kubestronaut upgrade](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/cka-to-kubestronaut/) sells the other four (KCNA, KCSA, CKAD, CKS) for $1,235 list, about $864 with the code. Came from the application side instead? The [CKAD to Kubestronaut upgrade](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/ckad-to-kubestronaut/) is the same price and swaps the CKAD out for the CKA. Already a Kubestronaut going for Golden? The [Kubestronaut to Golden Kubestronaut upgrade](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/kubestronaut-to-golden-kubestronaut/) covers the remaining eleven exams for $2,669 list, about $1,868 with the code, rather than buying all sixteen a second time.

### Golden Kubestronaut bundle discount

Golden Kubestronaut is CNCF's recognition for holding all 16 current CNCF and Linux Foundation certifications at once, not just the five in standard Kubestronaut. The 16 are CKA, CKAD, CKS, KCNA, KCSA, LFCS, PCA, ICA, CCA, CAPA, CGOA, CBA, OTCA, KCA, CNPA and CNPE. LFCA is not one of them, even though it's a genuinely useful starting cert on its own. CNCF launched Golden Kubestronaut in April 2025 and over 100 engineers had earned it within five months, so it's a real, active program. List price is $4,229; with `RUSHABH30` it drops to about $2,960, a saving of roughly $1,269, the single biggest dollar amount the code produces on this entire site. [Full Golden Kubestronaut bundle guide & savings math →](https://rushabhshah.dev/linux-foundation-coupon/golden-kubestronaut/)

Already a Kubestronaut? You don't need to buy all 16 again. Linux Foundation sells a Kubestronaut-to-Golden upgrade bundle covering just the remaining 11 certifications: $2,669 list, about $1,868 with `RUSHABH30`, a saving of roughly $801. [Get the upgrade bundle for ~$1,868 →](https://rushabhshah.dev/go/kubestronaut-to-golden-kubestronaut/)

## How to use it

- Add your certification, course, or bundle to the cart on [training.linuxfoundation.org](https://rushabhshah.dev/go/catalog/).
- At checkout, find the coupon field and enter `RUSHABH30`.
- The total drops 30%. Pay, done.

Worth knowing: your exam eligibility lasts 12 months from purchase. So buying now and scheduling the exam when you're actually ready is a completely sane strategy. It's what most people I know do.

## Which certification is actually worth it?

I get this question at almost every meetup, so here's the advice I actually give, not the brochure version:

- **Completely new to cloud-native?** Start with KCNA. It's multiple-choice, it's the cheap one, and it forces you to learn the landscape's vocabulary before you touch a cluster in anger.
- **Working in ops, SRE, or platform engineering?** Go straight for the CKA. It's a live-terminal exam, not multiple choice, hiring managers respect it, and the prep transfers directly to your day job.
- **A developer who ships to Kubernetes?** CKAD covers pods, deployments, config, probes and debugging. Everything you need, none of the cluster-administration depth you won't use.
- **Already have the CKA?** CKS is the natural next step and one of the strongest security signals you can put on a DevOps CV right now.
- **Shaky on Linux itself?** Do LFCS first. Kubernetes problems are very often just Linux problems wearing a trench coat.

## Don't buy prep until you've used the free stuff

Buy the exam with the discount, sure, but exhaust the free material before paying for prep. I maintain free exam-prep repositories on GitHub ([AWS SAA-C03](https://github.com/Iamrushabhshahh/AWS-Certified-Solutions-Architect-Associate-SAA-C03-Exam-Dump-With-Solution), [Azure AZ-104](https://github.com/Iamrushabhshahh/Microsoft-Azure-Administrator-AZ-104-Exam-Dump-Question-With-Solution)) and write hands-on Kubernetes and observability guides on [my blog](https://rushabhshah.dev/blog/). For CKA/CKAD/CKS specifically: practice in a real terminal daily. Those exams are speed tests as much as knowledge tests, and no amount of video-watching substitutes for muscle memory.

## Should you wait for a bigger sale?

Honest answer: sometimes. The Linux Foundation runs monthly promotions, and the steepest ones historically land around Black Friday / Cyber Monday and year-end. As a partner I get advance notice of upcoming promos before they go public, and I share those on [X](https://twitter.com/iamrushabhshahh) and [LinkedIn](https://in.linkedin.com/in/iamrushabhshahh).

The rule of thumb: codes don't stack, so it's always one or the other. If a seasonal sale is running above 30%, take the sale. Every other day of the year, `RUSHABH30` is the best discount you'll find. And with the 12-month eligibility window, buying during a deep sale and scheduling later is fair game too.

Ready? The code is RUSHABH30. 30% off, no expiry.

[Pick your certification →](https://rushabhshah.dev/go/catalog/)

Also running a FinOps partner code at 20%. Both are compared side by side on the [certification discount codes hub](https://rushabhshah.dev/coupons/).

## Past Linux Foundation sales, and when the next one lands

A few times a year the Linux Foundation runs official sales that go deeper than 30%. Those sale prices don't stack with coupon codes, so when one is live, take the sale. The rest of the year, `RUSHABH30` is the floor. Here is the recent pattern so you can time a purchase:

- **Back to School sale, September 2026**: 40% off bundles and instructor-led training with SEPT26BTS40, 35% off courses and certifications with SEPT26BTS35 (CKA went to $289, associate exams to $163, the Kubestronaut bundle to $987 and Golden Kubestronaut to $2538). Beat RUSHABH30 on everything in the catalog, ended September 22.
- **Switch & Save sale, September 2026**: 40% off a certification and 20% off THRIVE-ONE Annual, bundle only, no code ($805 bundles went to $553, $610 to $423). Only cheaper than RUSHABH30 if you wanted the subscription, ended September 11.
- **End-of-Season Flash Sale, August 2026**: up to 40% off (35% on courses and certifications with AUG26F35, 40% on bundles with AUG26F40), ended August 28.
- **35 Years of Linux anniversary sale, August 2026**: 35% off sitewide with code TUX35, ended August 18.
- **Mega May 2026** (May 12 to 24): 50% off individual certifications, up to 65% off THRIVE subscription bundles. Announced about three weeks early, then extended past the original deadline.
- **Kubernetes Birthday sale, June 2026**: around 45% off Kubernetes certifications.
- **Tech Talent sale, June 2026**: around 48% off, ended June 14.
- **Lunar New Year sale, early 2026**: around 47% off.
- **Cyber Monday 2025**: around 65% off sitewide, historically the deepest discount of the year.
- **September 2025 flash sale**: up to 75% off select bundles, short window.

As a partner I get advance notice before these go public. I post the heads-up on [X](https://twitter.com/iamrushabhshahh) and [LinkedIn](https://in.linkedin.com/in/iamrushabhshahh), and this section gets updated the day a sale starts. Buying during a deep sale and scheduling the exam later is fair game, since purchases stay valid for 12 months.

## Frequently asked questions

**Is RUSHABH30 legit?**

Yes. It's an official partner code issued directly to me by Linux Foundation Education through their affiliate program. It's not a scraped or recycled coupon, and it's honored by the Linux Foundation itself.

**Does it work on the CKA / CKAD / CKS?**

Yes, on all three, plus KCNA, KCSA, LFCS, and the rest of the training catalog, including self-paced courses and course + exam bundles.

**Can I stack it with other discounts?**

No. Linux Foundation codes don't combine. Use the biggest single discount available. Most days of the year, that's RUSHABH30.

**Does it work on PCA, OTCA, ICA, CCA, CGOA and CAPA too?**

Yes. The code covers the whole training catalog, including all the CNCF associate exams (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Istio, Cilium, GitOps, Argo) and the Kubestronaut bundle.

**Does it expire?**

No. It's an evergreen, year-round partner code, unlike seasonal sale codes that die when the sale ends.

**When are Linux Foundation discounts the biggest?**

Monthly promos vary, and the steepest historically land around Black Friday / Cyber Monday and year-end. I post advance notice on [X](https://twitter.com/iamrushabhshahh) and [LinkedIn](https://in.linkedin.com/in/iamrushabhshahh) when I get it. 30% is the reliable everyday floor.

**Does using the code cost me anything extra?**

No. You pay 30% less than list price; the Linux Foundation pays my commission out of their share. See the disclosure below.

**I'm a student. Is there anything cheaper?**

Sometimes. Seasonal promos can beat 30%, so watch my socials for advance notice. Also consider KCNA or KCSA: they're roughly half the price of the professional certs and a genuinely good starting point.

\# Affiliate disclosure

I'm an official Linux Foundation Education affiliate partner. If you buy through the links on this page or use code **RUSHABH30**, I may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you (you save 30% either way). I was recommending Linux Foundation certifications to my community long before this partnership existed, and I only promote things I'd recommend anyway.
